In January 2019, Zoe and Chloe were invited along to the Eastbourne and District Indoor Bowls Club in Hampden Park. The club had kindly chosen Children with Cancer Fund as their Captain's Charity of the Year and wanted to tell us all about the first very exciting fundraiser they had planned.
The club had organised a 'Captain's Charity Bowls Tournament' which took place on Saturday 26th January. The day involved 72 bowls players of all abilities paying a small fee to take part in the tournament in the hope of winning one of the fantastic trophies or medals! The club had organised a raffle with many great prizes and we also had a stall there on the day. Everyone had a fantastic time and the winners were very pleased with their trophies! Along with a Beatles Tribute Night at the club, the total amount raised was a phenomenal £3193.38 which is absolutely amazing.
Since then, we have been invited back to the club on many occasions, holding many teddy tombolas and games stalls at their fantastic open days and fairs, helping us to raise even more funds and awareness for CWCF. We have absolutely LOVED our partnership with the Eastbourne and District Bowls Club throughout the year so far and we are very excited to be joining them at their Christmas Fair on the 22nd November.
If you are in the Hampden Park area pop in and visit the amazing club and have a go at guessing the weight of the giant pumpkin in aid of CWCF!
