On Sunday 22nd December, we took over 300 individuals supported by the charity to see Eastbourne's Pantomime - Jack and the Beanstalk, followed by our annual CWCF Christmas Party ???❤️
The exciting afternoon began as the families arrived at the Devonshire Park Theatre greeted by our wonderful volunteers in reds. The families were shown to their seats and made themselves comfy ready for the pantomime to begin. The show was fantastic, with lots of laughter, boos and hisses! There were so many positive comments after the show with the families saying how much they enjoyed the panto.
As soon as the show had finished, our volunteers directed the families to the brand new Congress Halls where they were welcomed by carol singers and a fantastic snow machine! The families took their seats around the beautifully decorated hall and sat down to enjoy a delicious buffet. During this time, the cast of the Pantomime came over to the party and spent time chatting to the families and having photos taken - we are so grateful to the cast for taking the time to do this, making our party extra special ?❤️
Not long after the buffet was served, the amazing Ratton River Dancers took to the stage with their wonderful performance which really lit up the room. After the fantastic entertainment the families enjoyed a disco, photo-booth, chocolate stall, balloon-modelling, craft and a visit from Father Christmas himself! ?? Every child also received a wonderful gift kindly donated to us by More Radio and their very generous listeners.
As we are sure you can imagine, there were a sea of happy faces filling the hall, with lots of families relaxing and enjoying some festive time with one another. This is truly wonderful for us to see and we would like to thank everyone who makes this possible, including the Sussex Masonic Lodges who sponsored our Pantomime Party, and all of the staff, volunteers and entertainers who made the party a success. We really could not do it without you ?❤️
