All The Fun of the Farm

In March we took a group of our families to Washbrooks Farm for the very first time! It was a brilliant event, and all our families had a fantastic time.

On arrival at the farm, all our families headed off to enjoy all the activities on offer. And there was certainly plenty to choose from! There were lots of different pay areas, jumping pillows, a sandpit, trampolines and much more. Of course, then there were the animals to meet. The children loved walking around the animal barn and fields looking at and sometimes having the chance to stroke them.

Our families all met back at The Chalet to have lunch together. It was wonderful to hear the chatter and laughter as families mingled, and children made friends.

After lunch, the children got back to playing and there were several families all together on the bouncing pillow, with the children grouping naturally into age groups and laughing together. They then all joined together to play games as a large group, giving their parents the time to relax and talk.

The children all said that they had a great day spending quality time as a family but also having the opportunity to have fun with other children and to make new friends.

Our parents had time to have meaningful and much needed conversations with one another without judgement: “It’s so beneficial coming to these events and being able to meet with other families who are in the same position as us.”
