Arlington Bluebell Walk 2025

On Tuesday 8th April, we hosted the Arlington Bluebell Walk and Farm Trail and what a day we had!

We were incredibly lucky with the weather and the sun didn’t stop shining all day. From the very first visitor to the very last, the day was filled with smiles, laughter, delicious cakes and beautiful scenery.

Although the bluebells hadn’t yet made an appearance when we were there, the wood anemones were breathtakingly beautiful and the scenery on the walk itself was undeniably stunning. We all enjoyed walking through the woods and making the most of the peaceful atmosphere and being among nature.

There was so much to do beyond walking! We stroked the sheep, lambs and goats, perused the offerings in the book and plant stalls, held a hugely popular teddy tombola and of course, had a fully stocked café on offer.

Thank you to those who donated so many mouthwatering cakes and bakes for the event, including M&S Eastbourne, Poppyseed Bakery, Green Fig Catering and Holywell Tea Chalet. Thank you also to the amazing home bakers who took the time to bake some incredible treats. Our visitors really were spoilt for choice!

Thank you to everyone who came along and supported us on the day, especially the staff and residents of Bernhard Baron Care Home and Eastbourne Gardens Care Home for making the trip out to see us. We hope you all had a wonderful time.

And last, but never least, thank you to all our kind volunteers who helped to make the day the incredible success it turned out to be. We raised an outstanding £1786.84! We are excited for all the amazing things we can do for our families with this money.
