CWCF Take on the 02 Arena

On Thursday 4th July 2019, 16 of our wonderful supporters took on the brave challenge of climbing London's 02 arena, reaching the height of 50 metres above ground. The excited (and slightly apprehensive!) team met at the CWCF office early in the morning, where one of our wonderful volunteers then drove us in a mini bus all the way to London's amazing landmark. The team were then given a briefing and set themselves up with the jackets and equipment needed for the climb!

After lots of group photos, the team lined up and began the climb. The first part of the climb was very steep and seemed almost vertical when you looked ahead! Once the team reached the top, they took a few moments to enjoy the breathtaking views of London and restore their energy ready for the descent. on the way down, the team had to hold on tight to the railings as they made their way down the steep roof. Everyone was ecstatic when they reached the ground, feeling very proud and excited for completing the challenge!

We are extremely pleased to announce that our 02 Challenge raised a phenomenal total of £3202.33 which we are over the moon with! A massive thank you to everyone who took part and to those who sponsored and donated towards the challenge.
