CWCF recently took a smaller than usual group of families horse riding at Polegate Equestrian Centre, the weather was meant to be rubbish, but against all the forecasts we had a warm sunny afternoon.
Children that had never ridden before found a new love. The stables and their fantastic staff let the children groom and tack up their horses, took the children on walks through the woods and even did a mini gymkhana which included a lot of laughs and games whilst on their horse.
The event would not have been able to go ahead without the support of The Gaby Hardwick foundation who paid for it. Children smiling and parents having time to talk with others who understand what they are going through is all part of what we aim to get out of an event, and that certainly happened. Tesco also supported us by providing refreshments and snacks for our riders so no one went hungry or thirsty!
Lila’s mum, Karen, said:
“I just wanted to say an enormous THANK YOU for the horse riding on Saturday. Lila’s had a few problems recently and it’s been ages since I’ve seen such a huge grin on Lila’s face, we really enjoyed it!”
Thank you Gaby Hardwick foundation, Tesco and of course Polegate Equestrian Centre for a wonderful family event.
