On Sunday 19th December we took many of the families we support to the Eastbourne Pantomime! The pantomime has always been one of our most popular family events, but with the cancellation of the show in 2020 because of the pandemic, the families were even more excited to be back in the stunning Devonshire Park Theatre. This year’s show was Sleeping Beauty, there was lots of fun and laughter, and Children with Cancer Fund even got a special mention during the show! After the Pantomime, the families were directed to the front of theatre where a special Christmas gift from Children with Cancer Fund awaited them. Each of the families were treated to a red gift bag filled with a Green Fig Catering Hamper, a family toy and a supermarket gift voucher. Colin and Debbie joined us on behalf of the Sussex Masonic Foundation to assist in handing out the gift bags, which they had kindly helped to fund. It was amazing to see the delight on the families’ faces as they received their Christmas treat.
We would like to thank each and every one of our supporters who made this special day possible, as well as the kind sponsors who contributed to the day including the Sussex Masonic Charitable Foundation, Sussex Community Foundation, the Wellesley Foundation, the Isabel Blackman Foundation, John Jackson Charitable Trust, Magdalen and Lasher Charity, Anton Jurgens Charitable Trust, Pam and Ian of Oriflame and More Radio! Thanks to their generous support and donations, we were able to provide a wonderful, festive day out full of treats and surprises for local families affected by childhood cancer.
We hope you all had a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year, The CWCF Team x
